Tesla's Website Lockdown: Are they hiding something or just battling bots?

I tried accessing the Tesla RSS feed today and was met with a rather cryptic roadblock. It seems Tesla has significantly ramped up their bot defenses, locking down access to even their public feeds. This leads me to wonder, is this just standard security procedure, or is there something more they are trying to keep under wraps?

Could this increased security be related to an upcoming major announcement? Perhaps a new model reveal, a groundbreaking software update, or even something completely unexpected? Or are we reading too much into this and its simply a necessary measure to combat increasingly sophisticated bots?
